I changed from OCtopus to Schuran 150+Tunze but I felt Schuran skimmer is not enough for my tank. When the water status is bad, the first sign I can notice is fishes condition. I can see the bacterial sympton and ich in body. And without filter sock, the tiny bubble is spread to my tank. and I hate to change the filtersock so I decided to change the skimmer again. I researched many skimmers but instead of buying it, I tried to use mesh wheel based pump in my old Octopus Skimmer

There are two approaches.
1. Change only needle wheel of OceanRunner to mesh
2. Change the pump.

At First, I will try #2, so I bought this pump QuietOne 4000 with mesh. This is a little bit expensive but I think this can be good opportunity to test.

This picture is QO3000 with mesh but mine is same to this except pump version.

Actually I love wet skimming but this picture is set for dry. the pump is very quiet but the noise from air hose is point to reduce. I think the silencer is not working well.
